SF to San Mateo bicycle commute
January 6th, 2008
I the last two weeks, I used the opportunity of lighter traffic to try to commute by bicycle from San Francisco to San Mateo.
I mostly followed the North-South Route Map that is available on the Peninsula Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee.
My exact complete route is 23.1 miles long door-to-door… and it takes me about 2 hours to complete. I have mapped it on veloroutes.org.
Here is also an image of the elevation data.
Daily bicycle commute
November 26th, 2007
I just started to commute by bike. I drive from San Francisco to Millbrae BART station and ride to my office from San Mateo from there. It’s a 6.4 mi long ride that took me 25 minutes tonight. That’s 15.6 mi/h or 25.10 km/h.
Tonight is my second round trip and I am going to try to do it as much as possible.
18.6 mile ride in San Francisco
October 21st, 2007
I did a variation on my earlier 17 mile ride today. Upon reaching Ocean beach via O’Shaughnessy (route #55), Woodside (route #60), Laguna Honda (#65) and Kirkham (#40), I headed south (#95) to avoid the human traffic of Nike 26.2. I then got onto (#45) to get back back home.
